Unique Frankfurt stay in designer digs - Refundable hotel

LIBERTINE Lindenberg, Frankfurt, Germany

Property details

Liberate yourself from all inhibitions at this hip design-focused hotel in the centre of Frankfurt - vegan breakfast included. Refundable hotel - book with confidence

  • Fashionable living: Libertine Lindenberg really is a hotel like no other. Every corner of this brilliant bolthole is unique, from the elaborate and quirky décor (comprised of exquisite handmade furnishings and chic accents), to the sense of community throughout the building, not to mention the analogue recording studio in the basement, complete with its own record label and where studio concerts and jam sessions are regularly hosted. A hotel that celebrates individuality at every opportunity, the most important thing to remember is to be you.

  • Kitchen goals: Fuel up for the day with a delicious plant-based breakfast, and while there’s no formal restaurant, there is a desperately stylish shared kitchen where you have the culinary freedom to cook exactly what you want, all while admiring the sprawling cityscapes below. There’s a boutique store on-site to stock up on all the highest-quality ingredients you might need, including herbs and vegetables that are grown in the hotel’s own permaculture, which is a mere 30 kilometres away.

  • Country escape: Talking of this permaculture, guests are invited to escape the city and visit it for themselves. Here you can breathe in the forest air, feel the grass between your toes and pick raspberries, blackberries and sweet tomatoes to your heart's content. You also have the chance to learn all about vegetable growing and cooking with the resident chef, who’ll give you the full tour and cook for you on an outdoor stone oven – you’ll never feel so close to nature.

Even though Frankfurt is known as the financial centre of Germany, the city is so much more than bankers and briefcases. A futuristic-looking metropolis that looks and feels more like a American city than anywhere else in Germany (it’s steel-and-glass skyline is nicknamed 'Mainhattan'), Frankfurt really does have it all; stunning River Main location, huge collection of beer gardens, Michelin-starred eateries, and high-end fashion boutiques. City must-dos include checking out the world-famous Römerberg, strolling along the banks of the River Main, and spending time in Museumsufer (or Museum Embankment).

Equally fabulous is climbing the 324 steps up the tower of St Bartholomew’s Cathedral (April to October only), shopping in the chic boutiques along Berger Strasse, and visiting the city’s ancient Höchst neighbourhood for its timber-framed houses, medieval streets, and fairytale-like castle. Scandic Frankfurt Museumsufer is a 20-minute drive from Frankfurt Airport. Römer City Hall, Goethe House, Frankfurt Opera House
