An elegant and highly recommended stay in rural North Wales, with breakfast, a Michelin-starred tasting menu dinner, and lovely extras

Here's your chance to escape to rural North Wales, without leaving plush comforts and fine food behind. Tyddyn Llan is a destination unto itself, with a restaurant placed centre stage, enticing guests back time and again with its award-winning dining. And when we say award-winning, we certainly mean it – the Michelin star, which the restaurant's held since 2010, is just the start. You'll find Tyddyn Llan 36th in the Sunday Times' Top 100 Restaurants, rated in the Good Food Guide 2018 and the Editor's Gourmet Choice in the Good Hotel Guide 2018.

Once you've savoured each delicious morsel of your multi-course tasting dinner, you can retire to your capacious guestroom, individually designed and elegant throughout. Wake to the rural soundtrack of birdsong and the breeze through the trees before heading out into Snowdonia to explore. The scenery here is just magnificent, whether you're scaling the summit of Snowdon itself – about an hour and a half away by car – or ambling along a nature trail nearby. Other activities in the area include fishing, golf, river-rafting and pheasant-shooting. Tyddyn Llan garnered a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
