Reykjavik

A modern Reykjavik hotel with Northern Lights, plus Blue Lagoon transfers, an optional Golden Circle tour and whale watching – includes breakfast and flights

Discover the magic of enigmatic Iceland, with a three- or four-night stay at the Radisson Blu Saga Hotel – a cosy hotel situated close to both the National Museum and National Gallery in Reykjavik. Modern aesthetics meet classic Icelandic touches here, topped off with some excellent city vistas and hearty meals in the renowned Grillið Restaurant.

Your trip will include a Northern Lights tour, which will see you hunting for and learning about this fascinating phenomenon, plus a trip to the enchanting and therapeutic thermal waters of the Blue Lagoon (excluding admission).

Stay longer to enjoy a tour of the Golden Circle's Thingvellir National Park, where you can observe the rift between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates, the refreshing Gullfoss waterfall and the famed Geysir geothermal area, where you will witness Strokkur erupt every five to 10 minutes. You've also got the option to head out on a whale and dolphin-watching tour, over which you can spot the area's most common residents, which include Minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises.

Reykjavik itself is both charming an colourful, home to some of Iceland's most innovative restaurants and a gateway to some of Europe's wildest and most wonderful scenery. The city's compact layout makes it easy to explore on foot; discover the 101 district, where you'll find some excellent eateries and independent shops, selling plenty of local delights.
