Property details

Relaxing and modern self-catering cottages in Cornwall, with room for up to four guests and plenty of on-site amenities
  • Ticking all the boxes: Tucked away in an idyllic 13-acre slice of Cornwall, The Valley offers all you could want from a self-catering break and more. Just 10 minutes from the bustling town of Truro, this eclectic collection of swish, modern cottages has been thoughtfully designed to include high-end kitchens, designer Italian furniture and local artwork on the walls.

  • Rest and relaxation: What sets this self-catering resort ahead of the rest are the extensive on-site leisure facilities. There are two heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a spa pool, meaning it’s great for year-round visitors and the not-so-trusty British weather. You’ll also have use of tennis and squash courts and a fitness suite, if you fancy being active while you’re away.

  • Cornish cuisine: There’s a bar and restaurant serving plenty of local produce should you lack the spirit to cook after an energetic day exploring the charming Cornish countryside, picturesque fishing villages and stunning coastal footpaths only a short distance from your doorstep.

How to get there

Truro, which has regular long-distance train connections to the rest of the UK, is just a 10-minute drive away. By car, the cottages are most easily reached from the A30 from Exeter, followed by the A39.

Travelling with kids?

The Valley not only has an outdoor baby pool for summer holiday dips, but a children's games room and DVD library (on request) that come in handy the rest of the year. When it comes to food, you can rely on high chairs and a menu with plenty of children's favourites in the restaurant, open from Easter through to October half term. Plus, enjoy on-site children's activities during the summer holidays.

In the cottages themselves, you'll find or can request the following essentials: a steriliser, a step-up stool, pottys, children's toilet seats, food warmers, armbands for swimming, bath toys, baby monitors, plastic cutlery, bed guards, a baby bath, a highchair, a travel cot, a booster seat and a stair gate.

Good to know

Please note that during summer, the restaurant is open Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and one Sunday a month for a traditional Sunday lunch. Between 1 November and Easter, the restaurant will be closed.

The outdoor pool is open from mid-June to mid-September, and the indoor pool is open year-round, excluding November to mid-December and January to mid-February.
