Gorgeous designer-led Cambridge hotel, with an ideal location by the train station - including full English breakfast, prosecco and optional dinner

Tamburlaine, an incredibly smart hotel named after a play by Corpus Christi College fellow Christopher Marlowe, is the first UK venture for the Dublin-based O’Callaghan Collection. Located just a stone’s throw from Cambridge train station, you'll be close to the heart of the city and all its enchanting sights.

Complete with all the trimmings and trappings you’d expect from a boutique concept hotel, the sizeable and sumptuous guest rooms come in three academia-inspired categories: Fresher, Scholar and Dean. They assure state-of-the-art comfort by way of handmade King Koil beds, marble-clad bathrooms and custom-made work desks, all surrounded by dark wood panelling, polished concrete, velvet fabrics and brass details.

Elsewhere, there’s a brasserie-style restaurant, and stunning communal areas designed by the London Shoreditch-based Bryan O’Sullivan Studio. Equally worthy of your attention are the Garden Room for traditional afternoon teas, and the horseshoe-shaped bar for signature cocktails prepared by a team of resident mixologists.

Can't commit to booking right now?

Hold a date for only £25 while you decide.
