A striking country house hotel with an award-winning restaurant on the banks of the Thames - includes breakfast and welcome drinks

With its imposing turrets, neo-gothic architecture and stately grounds, you’d be forgiven for believing you’d arrived at Windsor Castle itself upon approaching this regal Berkshire Hotel. You wouldn’t be far off either - the royal castle is
just ten minutes away by car.

Overlooking its own private stretch of the Thames from atop a gently sloping, manicured garden, The Oakley Court is an imposing, 150-year-old stately home converted into a luxurious hotel with full leisure facilities, a two AA Rosette award-winning dining room, and 37 acres of gardens and parkland to explore. The hotel even presents its own polo team, true to the Windsor spirit.

Film buffs may already be familiar with The Oakley Court’s splendid gothic architecture - the house has been used as the set for several Hammer Horror movies and, most famously, The Rocky Horror Picture Show. With a thumbs up from Condé Nast Johansens, there’s certainly nothing frightening about this bolt-hole, which offers a lovely, tranquil haven in idyllic grounds. Surfing TripAdvisor's list of top Windsor hotels, The Oakley Court naturally sports a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2014.
