Escape to a beautiful hotel on the spectacular Ickworth estate, with breakfast and two-course dinner included
- The Ickworth Hotel is found within the grand Ickworth stately home, a National Trust property which dates back to the early 1800s and is one of the country's most unusual and spectacular mansions. The house is distinguished by a soaring 100-foot-high rotunda and 1,800 acres of parkland comprising pristine Italianate gardens and expanses of wild woodlands - it's little wonder why it has scored a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
- Frederick's Restaurant is the Ickworth's adults-only restaurant and is housed in the original dining room of the Hervey family. Sophisticated candlelit meals of contemporary European fare are served looking out over the Italianate gardens. Full English and continental breakfasts and family dinners are served in the more informal environs of the Conservatory.
- Alongside a lovely heated swimming pool, a number of contemporary treatment rooms are available where massages, facials and reflexology treatments using the Elemis product range are available, plus manicures and pedicures.

How to get there
The Ickworth Hotel is an hour and a half's drive from central London, following the M11 North East to Great Chesterford where you'll join the A11, which eventually joins the A14. Stay on the A14 until you get to junction 42; from here it's a further 10 miles to the hotel.
Travelling with kids?
The hotel offers plenty of services for younger visitors, from the kids' menu in the restaurant to the complimentary bottle-warming room service. In-room baby monitors are available, with staff on hand listening so parents can relax. Babysitting services are also available, plus there’s a creche, a kids' club and children’s games rooms, as well as a cinema room which screens a movie at 6pm each day. Please note that access to the creche must be pre-booked, and is chargeable at £13 per child for two hours.
Moving outside, you’ll find a kids' play area with a fairy garden theme. It’s well-equipped, with a wendy house, trampoline, climbing frames, swings and more. There’s a tennis court too, with equipment available from reception. The heated swimming pool is stocked with floats and noodles.
Back in the guest rooms, you’ll find child-friendly facilities upon request, such as a changing mat, bottle steriliser, potty, nappy bins and bed guards.
