Discount:

We advertise this offer at up to 37% off. We calculate this discount percentage based on the rates we offer compared to a price check of other online travel providers offering the same product and travel date. An example of our maximum discount is:

On 12/09/2019, leaving from London Gatwick, two people may book a 11-night holiday (inclusions as noted above) and will pay £1,529 per person, per stay, compared to a third party online rate of £2,440 per person, per stay. Based on this calculation, by booking with Secret Escapes, you will save 37%.

The discounts, price and availability stated above were checked on 05/12/2018.

Due to fluctuations in other travel providers’ prices, the discount advertised will not always be the same discount on the “from” price.

The lead price shown is subject to availability, which will naturally decrease during the course of a sale as the relevant dates are booked.

The offer is 100% non-refundable and date changes are not possible once the booking has been made.

Your contract is with Secret Escapes with ATOL number 11257.

A Thailand trip covering Bangkok, Phuket, the historic sights of the River Kwai and UNESCO protected Sukhothai Historical Park, with excursions, travel and airport lounge access on departure

Thailand is so rich with tropical beauty and cultural heritage that it’s almost impossible to pick one area to visit. And you don’t have to - on this carefully curated getaway, you can spend time in four of the country’s most iconic and fascinating destinations, with enriching activities and and hassle-free transfers included.

No trip to Thailand would be complete without a stay in the capital. Brimming with energy, Bangkok has some of the most impressive bars and restaurants in Asia, as well as grand palaces and supersized temples. Zip between landmarks and malls by tuk-tuk, sample exotic street food and shop for local produce at a unique floating market.

About three and a half hours north-west of Bangkok, Kanchanaburi is home to some of Thailand’s most breathtaking natural scenery, which you can explore in a long-tail boat and on a guided jungle trek to a tribal village. Blanketed in protected jungle and interspersed with lakes, caves and waterfalls, this intriguing region near the border with Myanmar is an adventurer’s dream. It’s also, of course, where the tracks of the notorious Death Railway were laid during the Second World War. Here, you’ll visit a number of the area’s most important sites, including the Thailand–Burma Railway Centre, Hellfire Pass Memorial, the famed Bridge over the River Kwai and the historic Death Railway Train.

Next, you’ll travel north, further off the beaten path, to discover the remains of the Sukhothai Kingdom. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sukhothai Historical Park is a window into Thailand’s “golden age” and covers an area of around 70 square kilometres. Take a tricycle ride around the Old Town, visit ancient temples and try your hand at traditional crafts.

It’s time to return to Bangkok, but you won’t be checking in to your next hotel just yet. First, you’ll take the very short flight down to Phuket for a spot of relaxation on what is arguably the world’s most glamorous island. Away from the masses in the quiet north, Dewa Phuket has the protected Sirinath National Park as a lush natural backdrop, with untouched Nai Yang beach on your doorstep. It only takes a minute to wander down to the dreamy Andaman shore, but you won’t even need to go that far for a dip - you’ll be staying in a luxurious private-pool villa, after all.

Hotel de Bangkok

Hotel de Bangkok occupies a prime location in the centre of the city, just 10 minutes by foot from the Victory Monument BTS Sky Train and Pratunam Market. The Bistro de Bangkok offers Thai, Eastern and Western cuisine in an informal, stylish setting and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Superior rooms are bright, modern and spacious at 32 square metres and hold private balconies with city views. The contemporary Thai decor fuses accents of colour with neutral tones, for a cosy but fresh feel.

Home Phutoey River Kwai Resort, Kanchanaburi

The back-to-nature Home Phutoey River Kwai Resort sits within the vast Sai Yok National Park, right on the edge of the River Kwai and around 15 minutes from Hellfire Pass. At certain times of the day, guests can enjoy the warmth of the resort’s natural hot spring pools. A wide variety of mouthwatering Thai dishes and a number of Western options are offered at the resort’s riverside restaurant.

Decked out with atmospheric and stylish teak-wood walls, the boutique-style Deluxe rooms measure 36 square metres and feature a king-size bed (or two queens), air conditioning and a private veranda with a view of the garden.

Legendha Sukhothai Hotel

Legendha Sukhothai Hotel is a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence-winning boutique resort that has a lovely open-air village feel, complete with manicured lawns, calm lotus ponds and a pool to cool down in after a long day out. With the resort's many design elements alluding to the country's ancient culture, you'll feel part of 13th century Siam – the ancient Chedi Wat Chang Lom temple sits at the back of the resort - but made comfortable with all your modern-day conveniences. The authentic Nham Khang Sukhothai Restaurant serves up classic Thai dishes and cookery classes are available.

A rung up from the Superior category, Deluxe rooms are spacious and positioned for views of the pool, temples or courtyard. As well as more richly appointed interiors, these rooms feature a private balcony.

Dewa Phuket

Located in the island’s picturesque north-west, a short transfer from the airport, Dewa Phuket offers access to the unspoilt scenery of Sirinath National Park. With a freeform pool and beachfront position, it’s ideal for a fly-and-flop break in paradise, but you can keep yourself busy with kayaking, snorkelling, surfing and Thai boxing if you want to mix it up. On site, there’s Terrace Grill, a contemporary restaurant specialising in freshly caught grilled seafood and dishes rustled up with locally sourced produce. Styled after a Californian wine bar, Bread & Butter features an extensive wine list along with brunch bites and an impressive charcuterie selection. It only gets more delicious in the spa, where nurturing, indigenous ingredients like fresh coconut, rice, white tea and sea salt are put to excellent use.

The Pool villas stand as the resort's most luxurious offering, with spacious interiors that include traditional Thai artwork, a large seating area, an outdoor dining area and a private pool to splash around in.

Mercure Bangkok Sukhumvit 11

Mercure's location makes it a breeze to explore some of Bangkok’s best shopping hotspots, like Terminal 21 a 10-minute walk away. Asok BTS is also within easy walking distance of this vibrant TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence awardee . If you need a change of pace from Thai cuisine, park yourself at the Argentinian-style steakhouse El Gaucho for a range of premium steaks grilled exactly the way you want, with wines from across the globe. For a mix of cuisines, the French-styled Alex Brasserie delights with a variety of dishes served both a la carte and buffet-style, plus a bar and regular live music sessions.

Guests can luxuriate at sister property Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel's award-winning spa, Le SPA with L’Occitane, a seven-minute walk from the hotel. Book an appointment directly with Mercure's concierge and wind down with luxe massages and wellness treatments featuring premium L'Occitane products. Your time here also includes access to the exclusive 16th-floor Privilege Club, where you can pep yourself up with refreshments from late morning to late afternoon.
