Beyond strolling or cycling around the scenic landscape bordering the baglio, there are more stunning hiking trails to be found in the Bosco di Alcamo Nature Reserve, a short drive from your hotel. Beautiful pine forests abound, and it’s a relatively easy hike up Mount Bonifato to panoramic views over Alcamo.

Head on into the town of Alcamo itself, and marvel at the old Barque cathedral, soak up the lively atmosphere of the square over your aperitivo, or browse street markets. You might not want to miss one of the world’s best preserved Greek temples at the Segesta ruins (within reasonable driving distance from your hotel), and a day at the beach on Sicily’s northwest coast is not far either!
