New Bussola, Poetto Beach, Sardinia

• Suite dreams: Even though New Bussola has been welcoming guests in style since the Sixties, it’s only become the destination for luxurious retreats it is today after a major restoration project was completed this year. Now it proudly boasts six divine suites, all with terribly chic décor and private pools, paving the way for refreshing morning dips and romantic moonlit moments.
  
  
• Local cuisine: The hotel places a strong emphasis on eco-sustainability, which starts, they say, by providing guests with local products from short supply chains, so at the bar and restaurant (coming soon!) you can expect an authentic Sardinian culinary experience. In the meantime, you have a superb selection of tasty eateries along the beach, not to mention a whole host of trendy beach bars where you can stay hydrated throughout the day by sipping on bespoke cocktails.
  
  
• Activities aplenty: Stretch out on Poetto Beach and soak up the rays while taking advantage of the hotel’s private beach area, complete with sunbeds and parasols. Anyone who finds it hard to stay still can get stuck into a full offering of exciting water sports, explore some of the beautiful scenery in the Golfo degli Angeli, or check out Sardinia’s colourful capital, Cagliari, which is right on your doorstep.

How to get there

New Bussola is by Poetto Beach on the Italian island of Sardinia. Cagliari Elmas Airport is an easy 25-minute taxi ride from the hotel, and for stress-free travelling the hotel offers an airport transfer service for an additional fee. If, on the other hand, you’re arriving with your own car then there are private parking options at the hotel.

Good to know

Please note that the hotel’s bar and restaurant are not currently open, but are coming soon. Additionally, a spa is opening in 2023.
