At the latter, you can tap into windsurfing thanks to the dedicated school there, if you fancy.

For more of a feel of a traditional Spanish plaza, albeit manufactured, head to the César Manrique-created Pueblo Marinero five minutes' walk away for ample bars, restaurants and people-watching opportunities. For a dramatic change of scenery, hike up to Montaña Corona behind the resort for far-reaching views that truly blow away the cobwebs.
