On a little peninsula south of the city of Pula, Park Plaza Verudela serves up sea views with a side of sunshine for the whole family. Within a few minutes’ walk you’ll find several rocky beaches where the turquoise sea laps gently all day long - park up on the pretty, pebbly swathes of Verudela Beach, Hawaii Beach or Histria Beach and enjoy a different atmosphere and view each time. Divers will love this spot - and you’ve a dive centre just a few minutes away for exploring the underwater world. Be sure to admire the rocky walls of Verudela Canyon, and swim in its cool waters, too.

A 10-minute drive up the coast, or an hours’ walk if you fancy taking in the surroundings, is Fort Musil, an imposing old fortress overlooking the sea. You’ve also got the city of Pula to explore, with its historic Roman ruins, which include an amphitheatre, underground museum and temples.
