Seven full-board nights cruising the Seine river, taking in historic and picturesque sights from Paris to Normandy and back again, with all travel

Discover the charms of the River Seine, with an unforgettable cruise along the storied Normandy waters. The Seine is France’s lifeline for culture, so you can take in iconic sights and inspiring towns from a unique perspective - the laid-back luxury that is the A-Rosa Viva cruise ship.

You’ll start your cruise in Paris, a city with a beauty and romance that never fades. The Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame, Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Elysées are just a few of the sights exemplifying this city’s fame and grandeur, but there are many smaller charms to enjoy too, like the artists’ quarter of Montmartre and Montparnasse, which offers breath-taking views of the city.

Next up is relaxed Rouen, where you’ll arrive under the spectacular Pont de Normandie bridge. One of Normandy’s most engaging destinations, Rouen is steeped in history, with its turbulent past shaping the vibrant culture you can experience today. Listen to tales of Joan of Arc, or marvel at one of the world’s oldest astronomical clocks. There’s also a charming restored medieval quarter, with winding lanes and half-timbered houses, not to mention the Gothic churches of Saint Maclou and Saint-Ouen.

You’ll then spend a scenic day cruising to enchanting Caudebec-en-Caux, floating past the dramatic cliffs of the ancient town. You’ll have the chance to follow the famous Abbey Trail, taking in the stunning surviving ruins of Jumièges Abbey. You could end up exploring the picturesque old port of Honfleur, which is full of 17th-century charm, from the cobblestone streets to its unique wooden, medieval church.

Next up is Les Andelys, a tranquil and pretty destination that's crowned by the ruins of Château Gaillard – Richard the Lionheart’s hilltop castle. It’s surrounded by lush green fields and rugged limestone rocks, with Hôpital Saint-Jacques and the Saint-Sauveur church tower forming part of its pretty picture. Take a stroll through the town’s blossom-lined streets and lanes, or explore the Gothic abbey.

Then, you'll cruise on to Vernon, where you can explore the Vieux Moulin de Vernon – a mill seemingly suspended over the Seine river – and the Gothic abbey showcasing stunning stained-glass windows. There are plenty of iconic nearby destinations to while away the hours in too – revel in Renaissance decor at Château de Bizy, known as “Little Versailles”, and stroll around Monet’s garden in Giverny, witnessing the enchanting water lily pond – the subject of one of the most valuable paintings in the world.

After one final night docked in Paris, you'll transfer to the airport to catch your flight home.
