How to get there

Turin Airport is just under 115 kilometres and the larger Milan-Malpensa Airport is around 180 kilometres away. The Swiss airport of Geneva is approximately 150 kilometres away.

Aosta train station, which is connected to European long-distance train via Chivasso and Milan, is about 400 metre walk from the hotel.

The Pâtisserie is open throughout the day for breakfast/brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and pre-dinner aperitif (there is no dinner service). Opening hours are 7am-8.30pm, Tuesday to Sunday.

The hotel directly faces Narbonne Square and lies a three-minute walk from the Roman Theatre, a six-minute walk from the medieval Saint’Orso church and five kilometres from Pila Ski Resort.

The nearest ski resort to Hotel Duca D'Aosta is Pila, reached in 10 minutes by car from the hotel. It’s one of the most snow-sure destinations in the Alps, with superb powder and slopes up to 2,700 metres. There are more than 24 pistes, including four blue runs, 29 red runs and four black runs, as well as a pipe and a slopestyle zone. There's also a lively apres-ski scene here.

If you feel like venturing slightly farther out, the whole region is ripe with some of the best ski resorts the world has to offer - Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, Monta Rosa and Gran Paradiso are all easily accessible by car in roughly an hour. Choose from downhill, freeriding, snowboarding, freestyle or cross-country. With hundreds of ski lifts and a staggering 700 kilometres of runs, there’s something for all levels and abilities.
