Location and what's nearby

Bärengasse 1, 6490 Andermatt, Switzerland

In the Swiss Canton of Uri, the beautiful village of Andermatt is the Switzerland of postcard scenes. In both summer and winter the landscapes are spectacular – snow blankets the mountains and the area offers some of the finest winter skiing, while in the warmer months the slopes are carpeted in wildflowers and the hills are alive with the sound of crunching walking boots and the tapping of hiking poles.

You can strike out along the many trails leading into the mountains or along the Reuss, taking in the stunning scenes with a picnic or a glass of something cold in a mountain hut. The centre of the village is equally charming, and offers luxurious shopping and fine dining, as well as traditional bistros.
