  • History on the river: First built in the 1600s, the hotel has a long history of trading and serving locals along the river. What began as a private home and has been a brewery, livery stables and surgeon’s home is now a charmingly renovated hotel decked out in a cosy, comforting style.

  • Dinner with a view: Head Chef Nick van Swaal has nine years experience in a Michelin-starred restaurant, and brings his passion to the hotel’s restaurant, where both a casual lunch - think dishes like burgers, poke bowls and sandwiches - and gastronomic dinner are on offer. • Extra perks: As well as an Irish bar serving beers and drinks late into the night, the hotel has two boats available for hire so you can enjoy the river like a local, and you can even order a picnic lunch to take along for the ride.
