Property details

Modern hilltop hotel in the Algarve’s quietest corner, with an outdoor gym and easy beach access - includes one-hour padel court access and private townhouse accommodation
  • Coastal village charm: Set within the wild beauty of the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park, NAU Salema Beach Village offers a masterclass in understated Portuguese elegance. Your contemporary townhouse is part of a discrete village-style complex where whitewashed walls and manicured gardens look out over the Atlantic. It’s a place where life slows down to the pace of the nearby fishing village, allowing you to settle into a private haven that feels worlds away from the crowded tourist trails.

  • Effortless active living: If you’re not one for staying still, the resort’s Sport & Fun Park has plenty to keep you moving. You can perfect your serve on the padel courts, maintain your routine at the outdoor gym, or head to the on-site cycling hub to rent a bike and explore the rugged coastal trails. For a change of pace, the sparkling outdoor pool and sun terrace provide the perfect spot to soak up the Algarve sun before cooling off in the water.

  • Your home by the sea: Each light and airy guest accommodation is designed for seamless indoor-outdoor living, featuring crisp whites, earthy tones, and spacious private balconies or patios. You’ll have everything you need to play host in style, from a fully equipped kitchen for whipping up local delicacies to plush living areas perfect for unwinding after a day on the sands. Whether you're enjoying a morning coffee with a sea breeze or an evening drink under the stars, these are some of the most sophisticated digs on the coast.

How to get there

The hotel is located in the western Algarve, approximately one hour and 15 minutes’ drive from Faro Airport. While public transport options involving trains and buses via Lagos are available, the journey can take over three hours, so we’d recommend hiring a car or arranging a private taxi to get the most out of this beautiful, remote area.

Good to know

Please note that the outdoor pool is seasonal and the poolside snack bar operates from April to October. For those visiting during the quieter winter months, regional breakfast baskets and grocery services can be arranged with the hotel (fees apply).

Location and what's nearby

static map

NAU Salema Beach Village, Praia da Salema, Vila do Bispo, 8650-060 Portugal

Perched on a gentle hillside, you’re just a few minutes’ stroll or a quick hop on the complimentary shuttle from the golden sands of Salema Beach. This Blue Flag beauty is famously authentic, where you can still watch traditional fishing boats haul in the day's catch or wander the narrow, flower-lined streets of the village in search of fresh seafood. For a glimpse into the prehistoric past, take a walk along the coastline to spot genuine dinosaur footprints preserved in the rocks.

If you’re a golf enthusiast, the verdant fairways of Santo António Golf Course are less than ten minutes away by car. Further afield, the dramatic cliffs of Sagres and the historic charm of Lagos are both within a 20-minute drive, offering a mix of rugged surf spots, boutique shopping, and 18th-century architecture.
