Spend a week cruising Egypt's majestic Nile on a luxurious, authentic 1920s-style sailing boat - includes full board, all travel and a suite option

Day 1: Luxor

Arrive in Luxor and transfer to the Dahabiya Dream. Overnight on board.

Day 2: Luxor - Esna

Sail towards the Esna Lock and visit the temple at Esna. Overnight on board.

Day 3: Esna - Kom Ombo

Sail past Gebel el-Silsila and towards Kom Ombo, stopping overnight at a quiet island location - overnight on board.

Day 4: Kom Ombo - Aswan

Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, before sailing to Aswan. Here, visit the High Dam and take a motorboat to cross the Nile and visit the Temple of Isis. At sunset, sail on a felucca boat around the botanical garden and Mausoleum of the Aga Khan. Overnight on board.

Day 5: Aswan - Esna

Visit Abu Simbel Temple (optional and upon availability; for more details please contact the supplier), and enjoy lunch on board while sailing back towards Esna. Overnight on board.

Day 6: Esna - Luxor

Continue sailing to Esna and arrive in Luxor to visit Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. In the evening, there will be an optional tour to see the sound and light show at Karnak Temple. Overnight on board.

Day 7: Luxor

In the early morning, you can opt to take an incredible balloon ride over the West Bank of Luxor (optional and upon availability; for more details please contact the supplier). Later, visit the West Bank itself, including a trip to the house of Howard Carter and the replica of Tutankhamun's tomb. Overnight on board.

Day 8: Luxor

Disembark and fly back to the UK.

Please note that the entry visa to Egypt is $25 (or sterling equivalent) and payable on arrival at Luxor airport. Please also note that onboard gratuities are not included.

Following client feedback regarding the treatment and care of the working horses in Edfu, the supplier have decided to take action in support of better animal welfare, and as a result have decided to remove the Edfu temple visit from the itinerary until their demands for better animal care are met.

In short, you pay Secret Escapes a non-refundable deposit to secure your holiday, then you pay the holiday supplier the remaining balance of the holiday - as advertised - at a later date (before you travel).
