Alfons-Graber-Weg 2, A-6150 Steinach am Brenner, Austria
In winter, you have the bijou Bergeralm ski resort right on your doorstep, with around 30 kilometres of slopes between 1000 and 2000 metres high promising plenty of white stuff from late November until early April. More forgiving slopes are at the top of the resort near the Hochsonnlift, and expert skiers can revel in plenty of red and black pistes. Children can enjoy the practice area, funpark and skicross course. Look out for snowkiters in the area and join in the night skiing three evenings a week. There are also cross-country skiing trails and tobogganing routes, plus snowshoe and winter hikes galore and an indoor ice rink in your town.
