Itinerary

Day 1: UK - Istanbul

Fly to Istanbul, Turkey's captivating capital, which holds buckets of history, wonderful culture and delicious cuisine. Transfer to your hotel and spend the night.

Day 2: Istanbul

Take a boat trip on the Bosphorus, a channel that separates Europe and Asia. Enjoy views of the Palaces of the Sultans and the traditional wooden houses. Disembark and spend some time exploring the spice market. Enjoy lunch and the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 3: Istanbul

At leisure in Istanbul. Take an optional 'Jewels of Constantinople' excursion with lunch included (£68 per person). Overnight in Istanbul. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 4: Istanbul - Ankara - Cappadocia


Transfer to the airport to take your flight to Ankara. Upon arrival, visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk and the Hittite Museum. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then continue on to Cappadocia, visiting the impressive salt lake of Tuz en route. Upon arrival in Cappadocia, enjoy dinner and spend the night. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 5: Cappadocia

Take an optional sunrise hot air balloon ride (£192 per person) before discovering the regional landscape. Visit the open-air museum of the Goreme Valley, cross the valleys of Avcilar and Güvercinlik, where you can admire the famous Fairy Chimneys. Head to Pasapag Valley to enjoy panoramic views, before returning to the hotel to enjoy dinner, and spend the night. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 6: Cappadocia - Konya - Pamukkale

Depart to Konya, the capital of the Turkish Sultanate of Rum, visiting the ancient Silk Road fortification of Kervansaray en route. Visit the Monastery of the Dervishes and continue on to Pamukkale. Transfer to the hotel to spend the night. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 7: Pamukkale - Ephesus - Kusadasi


Visit Hierapolis, an ancient Hellenistic city. See the famous Cotton Castle before transferring to Ephesus, the most well-preserved ancient city of Asia Minor. Visit the Temple of Hadrian, the Roman Baths, the Library, the Odeon and the Theatre. Continue by road to the Ismir region, where you'll transfer to your hotel in Kusadasi and spend the night. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 8: Kusadasi - Canakkale

Set off on a trip to Pergamon, once a rich and powerful ancient Greek city. Visit the sacred site of Asclepion and continue on to Troy, where you'll visit the Temple of Athens. Arrive in Canakkale, where you'll transfer to the hotel and spend the night. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 9: Canakkale - Istanbul

Transfer to the port to catch a ferry across the Sea of Marmara towards Istanbul. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 10: Istanbul - UK

Transfer to the airport to catch your flight home. (Meals: breakfast)
