Property details
- All aboard: It’s easy to see why the glittering ss Rotterdam is nicknamed ‘La Grande Dame’ - the majestic former cruise liner sits proudly in the harbour of Rotterdam’s Katendrecht area, and retains every ounce of its glamorous and colourful history. Once a flagship of the Holland-America Line, you’ll find decadent social spaces and 1950s-inspired cabins, so expect vintage touches and bold patterns aplenty. And with a central location easily accessible by land and water, you’ll be making waves across Rotterdam in no time.
- Tidal treats: Start your day with an international cruise breakfast at the light-flooded Lido Grill on the Promenade Deck, and return at lunch and dinner for scrumptious eats straight from the KOPA charcoal oven. Stick around here for a stylish afternoon tea service, or trade High Tea for High Wine, with wine tasting and chilled-out tipples at the panoramic Ocean Wine Bar. You'll also find extensive dinners from Wednesday until Saturday at the Club Room.
- Local expeditions: Stay onboard for a range of fun activities, from guided tours of the ship to a thrilling Escape Room experience. To tick city icons off your bucket list, simply wander across Erasmus Bridge, at which point you’ll have the six of the city’s most important museums on one side at the Museumpark, and more of its seafaring heritage to discover at the Maritime Museum. For weary feet and whistle-stop tours, the tram and bus are close by, and the city’s scenic water taxi service is at your porthole.
