Southampton to New York City transatlantic cruise

Hark back to the golden era of Transatlantic crossings with a week-long, full-board Christmas cruise on Cunard’s legendary Queen Mary 2, which emerged from a multi-million pound remastering not long ago. Sailing from Southampton, your cruise across the pond is sure to pass in a giddy whirl of once-in-a-lifetime experiences. This grand dame of cruise liners is the flagship of its generation and offers a top-notch array of facilities; marvel at the majestic Christmas tree in the Grand Lobby and take a tour of the festive gingerbread village before tucking into a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.

You'll get to experience world-class entertainment on board, from West-End-style shows and live music to RADA workshops and famous speakers from the arts industry and beyond. Elsewhere, you'll find a planetarium where you can take a virtual ride into outer space, viewing the stars and other visual spectacles – there are even courses of celestial navigation. Attend an exclusive ball or cocktail evening or indulge in a quintessentially British afternoon tea, and when it comes to R&R, there's a spa with a pool, aromatic steam room and a selection of treatments.

After a good long stint of relaxing, socialising and pure glamour, you’ll pass under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, where you’ll first glimpse Manhattan in the early morning light. They say it's better to journey than to arrive, yet with your destination being the Big Apple, you’ll be equally excited by your four-night festive stay in Christmas capital New York.

New York City

Check off that NYC bucket list easily, thanks to Cachet Boutique Hotel’s ideal location, putting you right by the bright lights of iconic Times Square. Famous restaurants, shopping and attractions are just steps from your room, perfectly set in the heart of Manhattan. Shop for your perfect Christmas presents at Fifth Avenue, visit the Empire State Building, see a Broadway show, dine at some of the best restaurants in the world, and explore all the history and culture this bustling island holds.

Wrap up warm and spend two-hours enjoying a tour of the iconic High Line, an elevated walkway-style park built atop former railroad track, as your guide fills you in on the impressive artworks on display. Be sure to have your camera at the ready as you’ll be treated to stunning views of the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building along the way. Next, it’s on to Chelsea Market, home to a bustling food hall where you’ll have a chance to sample some delicious local delicacies. Once you exit the High Line, your guide will walk you through the hip Chelsea neighbourhood, home to art galleries, trendy boutiques and some of the city’s best restaurants. You'll be staying over the festive period, which means experiencing the Big Apple at its most magical, with plenty of dining and drinking options available on Christmas Day.
