Discover inspiring India’s magnificent forts, palaces, temples and majestic wildlife on a guided tour, including all travel, half board and excursions

Whether you’re a seasoned visitor or first-timer, India’s glorious array of culinary traditions, diverse culture, stupefying landscapes and often nerve-fraying pace are experiences that will both disorientate and delight. It’s a captivating, kaleidoscopic place that’s brimming with some of the planet’s most exquisite man-made wonders, with much to keep nature enthusiasts on their toes too. This expertly curated, seamlessly well organised tour whisks you around the many highlights of the north with ease, with an experienced, English-speaking guide on hand, so you can learn about this extraordinary region from a local.

Over the first four days, you’ll visit breathtaking palaces, forts and temples, from the Red Fort to the remarkable Qutab Minar – one of the largest mosques in India. You’ll drive through New Delhi and Jaipur, stopping at iconic landmarks like the India Gate, Presidential Palace and the beautiful Hawa Mahal (or ‘Palace of the Winds’). Explore the phenomenal Amber Fort, travelling to the highest point by car, and the exquisite Maharaja’s Palace, with its eye-popping finery and weaponry.

Next, a chance to get acquainted with the fearsome Bengal tiger on a safari in Ranthambore National Park, where slinking leopards also reside. Head out on two drives in the hope of spotting this rare and heart-poundingly stealthy jungle cat, as well as crocs, monkeys, gazelles, prehistoric monitor lizards and exotic birdlife.

Before you wrap up your journey, spend a couple of days discovering Agra, one of India’s most important and enthralling destinations. There are three UNESCO World Heritage Sites here: Agra Fort, the abandoned, time-frozen city of Fatehpur Sikri and the gleaming Taj Mahal – one of the Seven Wonders of the World. You’ll return to Delhi for one more night before catching your flight back to the UK.
