Fuhlsbüttler Str. 32, Hamburg 22305, Germany

Germany’s second-largest city, Hamburg is a vibrant and lively place with a long history as a trading hub, sporting excellent shopping opportunities and plenty of sights to occupy your time. Your contemporary pad is located north of the city near the leafy Stadtpark, where you can also find the Planetarium, a 20th-century water tower turned astronomy centre, where laser light and 3D shows are put on for entertainment.

As you head south to the centre, spend some time exploring the harbour areas on a boat tour, or strolling along the shopping streets of Spitalerstrasse and Mönckebergstrasse - the latter of which leads you to the grand neo-renaissance structure of the town hall, a fine example of Hamburg's distinct architecture of soaring spires, that's also exemplified in St Nicholas Church and St Michaelis Church.

Other highlights include the open air fish market, which takes place every Sunday and boasts live music performances. Hamburg also has a great nightlife, with entertainment ranging from great techno and rock music scenes to the more rarefied environment of the State Opera House.
