How to get there 

The closest train station to your hotel is Workington, but connections from most major cities tend to pass through Penrith or Carlisle, from where it’s a coach or train connection of about one to two hours. We recommend driving in order to get the most out of the surrounding countryside: those heading from the south should follow the M6 northbound, whilst those coming from the north should head south toward Carlisle.

Please note that reservations are required for the restaurant as it tends to get fully booked, and that afternoon tea requires booking and payment 48 hours in advance. Tapas evenings take place on the last Friday and Saturday of every other month throughout the year. Breakfast hours vary, served at 7-9am on weekdays and 8-10am on weekends and bank holidays.
