Meet with a local guide who'll take you on a city tour, exploring the historic centre and a traditional market, where you’ll sample a variety of local fruits. (Meals: breakfast) Day 4: Guayaquil - Baltra - Galapagos (Santa Cruz)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Baltra, in the Galapagos Islands. From Baltra, transfer to Santa Cruz by ferry. Stop in the highlands, the verdant green habitat of the famous Galapagos giant tortoises, and enjoy lunch and a tour at a private ranch. Overnight in Santa Cruz. (Meals: breakfast) Day 5: Galapagos (Santa Cruz)
Spend the day at leisure or choose an optional excursion to an uninhabited island, where you can admire rare wildlife, have lunch on the island and snorkel with turtles (£222 per person). (Meals: breakfast) Day 6: Galapagos (Santa Cruz - San Cristobal)
Spend the morning at leisure. In the afternoon, take a motorised boat to San Cristobal island. Overnight in San Cristobal. (Meals: breakfast) Day 7: Galapagos (San Cristobal)
Spend the day at leisure or opt for an excursion to another uninhabited island (£142 per person). (Meals: breakfast) Day 8: Galapagos - Guayaquil
This morning, transfer back to the airport for your flight to Guayaquil. Arrive and spend the rest of the day at leisure. (Meals: breakfast)
Day 9: Guayaquil - Lima
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight to Lima the capital of Peru, situated on the Pacific Coast. Transfer to the hotel, and spend the rest of the day exploring the city's colonial streets and magical plazas at leisure. (Meals: breakfast)
Day 10: Lima
Enjoy city tour of Lima: explore Miraflores and San Isidro before heading to the Historic Centre and seeing the Convent of Santo Domingo and Plaza de Armas. Visit the Chocolate Museum to learn about high-quality Peruvian cocoa, and stop in Parque del Amor to take photos of the coastline. (Meals: breakfast) Day 11: Lima - Cusco - Sacred Valley
Transfer to the airport to fly to Cuzco. Arrive in Cuzco and transfer to the Sacred Valley, stopping en route at Awanakancha to take some pictures. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Sacred Valley. (Meals: breakfast) Day 12: Sacred Valley
Today, visit Chinchero and the PARWA centre, then stop at the Mirador de Racchi panoramic viewpoint for unbelievable photos. Explore the Inca fortress of Ollantambayo and the fascinating ancient site of Moray, then rest up at the hotel. (Meals: breakfast) Day 13: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu
Board the voyager train to Aguas Calientes, transferring to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Machu Picchu on arrival. Discover the ruins and terraces and go on a tour of the different sections of the site. Return to Aguas Calientes and check into your hotel. Overnight in Aguas Calientes. (Meals: breakfast)
Day 14: Machu Picchu - Cusco
The morning is free for you to return for a second time to Machu Picchu if you wish. Afterwards, return to Aguas Calientes to catch the afternoon train back to Cuzco. Overnight in Cuzco. (Meals: breakfast) Day 15: Cusco
Enjoy a morning at leisure. In the afternoon, take a city tour with a local guide, beginning in the Plaza de Armas, then visit the Temple of the Sun and the San Blas neighbourhood. (Meals: breakfast)
Day 16: Cusco - Night on board
Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK. Spend the night on board. (Meals: breakfast)
