Battlesteads Hotel & Restaurant lies in the village of Wark, along the River North Tyne and around seven miles from the A68 on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. Newcastle Upon Tyne is a 45-minute drive away, but you can also take the train from Newcastle to Hexham, and from there hop on the 680 Tynedale Links bus to the Hexham Road stop, which is just 2 minutes' walk from your hotel.
