ibis Styles Delft City Centre, Van Leeuwenhoekpark 2, 2611 DW Delft, Netherlands

Sandwiched between Rotterdam and The Hague, the city of Delft attracts its own visitors with its charming canals, classic Dutch architecture and historic monuments. Head to the market square and climb New Church for a view over the city before you head back down to start exploring. From the church it’s a few minutes to the Vermeer museum, where you can find out about the life of the famous painter who lived here. Stop for a coffee in one of the cafés around the square, or pick up a fresh stroopwafel, then head over to Royal Delft; this is the last factory still producing the iconic blue and white Delftware pottery that made the city famous in the 17th century. Stroll through the museum to learn more, then perhaps pick up a collectible piece for yourself as a souvenir.

Itching to explore further afield? With your hotel so close to the train station, it couldn’t be easier. You can be in Rotterdam in less than 20 minutes, and Amsterdam in just over an hour.
Five-star booking service? You bet.
