The hotel sits idyllically amidst a group of wildlife-speckled lakes on the borders of Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, in the heart of the Cotswolds countryside and a 10-minute drive from Cirencester. You'll find Swindon a 20-minute drive south, and both Gloucester and Cheltenham around a half-hour's drive north.

For the quintessential Cotswolds experience, drive half an hour to Bourton-on-the-Water for a picnic by the river, drinks outside a charming pub or perusing the old shops and houses made of local Cotswold stone. Keen birdwatchers, walkers, open water swimmers and families will love the access to the surrounding trails that lace around the Cotswold Lakes, and there are plenty more country walks to be found in the nearby Coln Valley. Cirencester has great shopping, lovely pubs and a huge variety of cafes. This is rural England at its best.
