Property details

Escape to the exciting town of Dortmund and stay at a superbly modern hotel in the centre - with breakfast, and optional football museum tickets. Refundable hotel - book with confidence
  • Dazzlingly contemporary: Germany is often associated with forward-thinking design and innovative technology, and it seems Dorint Hotel Ad den Westfalenhallen has taken a leaf out of its country’s book. This glass-fronted building blends elements of classic design with modern materials to create an elegant stay. Add its central location and good transport connections, and your stay in Dortmund will be more than comfortable.

  • Point two: Restaurant Davidis, so named after famous German cookbook author Henriette Davidis, puts food at the forefront of its dining experience. After all, Davidis once said herself, ‘The preparation of the food should not be considered a secondary matter, if only for the sake of health.’ Expect a healthy buffet breakfast, and German classics at dinner. Elsewhere, the chilled-out Overbeck Bar is a low-lit, monochromatic space where you can sip your favourite cocktail come evening.

  • Relaxing and stylish: Guest rooms are as every bit as contemporary as the rest of the hotel, with plenty of clean lines, wooden accents, and functional furnishings. For extra space, opt for the Superior room - however, sports junkies among you might want to add tickets to the German Football museum, the national football museum of Germany and an interactive place to visit.

Location and what's nearby

static map

Dorint an den Westfalenhallen Dortmund, Lindemannstraße 88, 44137 Dortmund, Germany

Starting with a history something akin to an industrial town in the Midlands, Dortmund’s prosperity has grown through the years, as has its appeal. What was once a town dedicated to coal, steel and beer has grown to something eclectic and truly worth exploring (but don’t worry, there’s still plenty of beer). Start off by exploring the town’s history at the Lwl Industrial Museum Zollern, before taking in some contemporary art DASA. Sporting fans can go football-mad at the German Football Museum, which opened in 2015 (the town’s football team has won the national championship eight times and the German Supercup four).

Half an hour away on foot you’ll find Westfalenpark, one of the largest inner-city parks in Europe, and great for outdoorsy types. Walk, hire a bike, kick a ball about or enjoy a picnic in the warmer months. Ten minutes further away you’ll also find Rombergpark, a botanical beauty and the largest botanical garden in Europe; it features an impressive array of centuries-old trees and subtropical plants, so it’s certainly not to be missed.
Five-star booking service? You bet.
