Kamenita ul. 9a, 21000, Split, Croatia

The town of Split is set on Croatia's Dalmatian Coast, making it a great base for beach lovers, gastrophiles, history buffs and more. Lay eyes on one of the world's most impressive Roman monuments at Diocletian’s Palace before meandering between the shops, restaurants and bars that hum vibrantly between the town's old walls. Paddle in the shallow waters of Bacvice Beach before tasting your way around Split's impressive gastronomy scene, and admire Mestrovic's artworks or wander the pavements that played the streets of Meereen in hit series Game of Thrones.

Split also makes an excellent base for some island hopping, as it offers boat links to many islands in the mid-Adriatic. It's also well worth taking a day trip one of Croatia's stunning national parks - National Parks Krka or Plitvice are both abundant with greenery and have some seriously scenic waterfalls.
