If you’re looking for golden sands, crystal-clear waters and a picturesque setting, you can’t go far wrong with Ölüdeniz Beach. This stretch of sand is pretty famous, and with good reason; backed by the rocky, tree-scattered hillslopes and looking out over shockingly-blue waters, it’s the perfect spot to try out various water sports, stroll in the surf or simply nab a lounger and spend the day soaking up the sun. Beyond the beach, nearby Fethiye has some fascinating ruins to offer history fans; like a mini Petra, the ancient city of Telemessos consists of impressive temples and other structures hewn out of the clifface. Fethiye is also a popular spot for nightlife, so pack your dancing shoes and take your pick of the nightclubs and lively bars.
