Stationsweg 4, 8911 AG Leeuwarden, Netherlands

Leeuwarden is a fascinating little city with history dating back to the 10th century. In the centre of the city, Oldehove is the Netherlands’ answer to the Leaning Tower of Pisa (in fact, it leans more!), and should be visited both for its history and the views from its tower.

There are also a plethora of museums here, including the Fries Museum, dedicated to the history of Friesland, the Natuurmuseum Fryslân and the Boomsma Museum, housed in a historic distillery that has been producing traditional Dutch spirits for hundreds of years.
