An unforgettable 12-night tour of Cambodia, with breakfast, some lunches, excursions, all travel and a choice between economy, premium or business class flights
This bucket-list-ticking Cambodia tour kicks off in Siem Reap, where you'll take tours to the area's most famous temples. Visit the last capital city of the Angkorian Empire, Angkor Thom (which means 'Great City' in Khmer), and explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Angkor Wat - a temple complex that was built in the 12th century under King Suryavarman II and epitomises the splendour of Khmer architecture, culture and religion. Wind the day up over sunset from the Pre Rup Temple before heading to Kbal Spean the next day, and visiting the floating villages of Chong Khneas.
Battambang is your next destination, which hosts ancient temples, French colonial architecture and Buddhist shrines. Enjoy the views from Banon Mountain, taste local wine at a Grape Garden, and ride the famous bamboo train - motor-driven bamboo platforms that were initially designed by the locals to make use of the remaining railroad tracks from the French colonial era. Then, you'll move on to Phnom Penh, visiting a village of marble sculpture, learning how to make the traditional Cambodia noodle and stopping at a village that's famous for its fine clay pottery.
From Phnom Penh, you'll visit Wat Phnom temple and the nearby Royal Palace - home to a beautiful Throne Hall and the Silver Pagoda, which is adorned with Buddha statues, including the Crystal Buddha. You'll also visit the Killing Field of Choeung Ek - a devastating insight into a time where the country was torn apart by war, political instability and mass genocide. You'll spend your final four nights in beachside bliss with a stay on Cambodia's coast, in Sihanoukville, before catching your flight home.
