Tuscany

Escape to a typical Tuscan farmhouse near Siena, and within driving distance of Florence - includes breakfast, a wine tasting and tour, flights, car hire and perks for longer stays

  • The laid-back Tuscan lifestyle is ripe for the picking at Borgo Castelvecchi, an inviting cluster of old stone farm buildings with a manor house at its centre. On arriving at this traditional Italian 'borgo' in the heart of the legendary Chianti region, you'll be met with an especially warm welcome and the seductive colours and scents of the surrounding landscape.

  • The characterful Ristorante Castelvecchi serves a plentiful dinner packed with regional flavour, all complemented by the excellent wines that Tuscany is famous for. If you want to reproduce any of the dishes back home, there's the chance to join an intimate cooking class in the old mill.

  • There's also a pool with a view and wine tasting in an evocative 1,000-year-old wine cellar, while further afield you can explore the vineyards, history and culture of this enticing part of Italy.

  • Rooms are spread throughout the outlying buildings, whose interiors have been restored to retain their character and maintain original terracotta floors and arched stone ceilings. Drink in your window view of Cypress trees, rolling Tuscan hills and maybe an old stone church tower in the distance.
