Torre a San Niccolo
A unique stay at a chic guesthouse in Florence’s Santa Croce district, including dining discount, welcome drink and late check-out
Fuelled by Renaissance wonders, the capital of Tuscany dazzles with history at every turn, from the iconic Uffizi Gallery and Galleria dell'Accademia museums to the beautiful Ponte Vecchio Bridge and the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (simply known as the Duomo). Not to mention the legacy of Italian greats such as Michelangelo, Galileo, and Botticelli.
So it’s not hard to see why this little guesthouse in the heart of Santa Croce is such a gem, not least for its setting overlooking Bardini Gardens. There are just four spacious rooms, all of which are completely different and adorned with specific woods: chestnut, cypress, walnut, or oak, as well as plenty of greenery and Scandi-style furnishings.
Kick-start a day of sightseeing with a buffet-style American, French, English or Italian breakfast, and for a change of scene, the guesthouse has a lovely terrace for summer drinks or post-sightseeing chill-out, as well as an adjoining restaurant that’s perfect for anytime cocktails, daily lunches and dinners, and nightly DJ beats.
