- Refreshed refinement: Fresh from a 2018 facelift is the Liburnia Heritage Hotel Imperial Opatija, located in a historic building originally named after the Belgian-Austrian crown princess Stephanie. Since its opening in 1885 the hotel has seen numerous incarnations, with glamorous bedrooms, a sumptuous spa and an elegant restaurant.
- Local dining: The large restaurant is decked out in genteel glamour, with soft greys and atmospheric lighting. Buffets have a Mediterranean leaning, and locally inspired dinners typical of the Kvarner region are served on Mondays. There are also special Mediterranean-themed evenings on Thursdays - both include live music.
- Indulge the days away: The pampering spa zone includes a Finnish sauna, hammam, hydromassage showers and an ice fountain. Book a beauty or massage treatment and take a few moments in the relax zone afterwards to fully unwind. There are also fitness classes available by appointment at this Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence-winner.
