Location and what's nearby

static map

Viale Giosuè Carducci, 2, 47838 Riccione, Italy

With its beachfront location on Italy’s eastern coast, Riccione is famous as a good-time holiday location, wedged between the sparkling waters of the Adriatic Sea and the hills rising inland. All along the coast there are lively beaches, exciting nightclubs and seafood-heavy restaurants. It’s all pretty new (the tourists didn’t arrive until the mid 1800s), but there are some scattered Roman ruins if you know where to look.

Hire a car or scooter to explore further afield – Rimini is down the road with its Fellini fan base, Pesaro has a charming old town and a backdrop of rolling hills, plus a central piazzo ringed by cafés and bars; it’s perfect for people watching. Emilia-Romagna is just inland – foodies should make a beeline here to sample a confection of delicious Italian produce.
