Come winter when the slopes are powder-white, you’ll have the choice of four attractive ski resorts in the area, boasting a wide range of blue, red, and black slopes. It’s not just skiing and snowboarding that attracts tourists: snowshoeing, sledding, and ski touring are all popular past times, made even more enjoyable by the apres-ski in the area after. There’s just under 200 kilometres of piste in the Gastein area and plenty of ski schools for beginners, so your location is ideal for skiers of any level.
