  • Suspended in the sky: Perched in the mountains on a steep-sided valley, apartments arduus – high living is fantastically configured for a relaxing alpine escape. The ‘opposites attract’ philosophy marries natural beauty and locally sourced mountain cuisine with beautifully imagined, contemporary apartments. While standing out against the idyllic scenery, the larch wood walls and solar roofs add to the sustainable nature of the resort.

  • Mountain magic: Every part of the hotel is linked to the mountain scenery – fruits and vegetables harvested from the farm’s kitchen garden, fresh eggs and jam in the self-serve shop, local wines sourced from the region to accompany your meals. Windows are angled for privacy while taking in the incredible views of the surrounding peaks, while building materials used in the construction of the apartments combine modern design with the natural beauty of the Val Senales.

  • Peak holiday experiences: Staying in the valley, away from the hustle and bustle, you’ll get to completely unwind. Explore the Merano region on foot or by bike, and in the peak seasons snap on your skis to enjoy the snow or lace up your hiking boots to uncover beautiful trails. Roam with the alpacas and llamas – perhaps a relaxing walk with one of the famously fluffy creatures will be the thing that makes your trip?

Look forward to dreamy snow-capped mountains, a rich heritage and endless alpine activities at this stylish stay in the north of Italy’s South Tyrol region. Spend your winter days frolicking in the snow and your summer holidays hiking, or cycling, into the serene surroundings. You can roam around the village’s quaint streets all-year round, sampling the delicious South Tyrolean cuisine and dining in the many traditional inns and refuges in the surrounding valleys.

Of course, there are endless amounts of beautiful trails to be explored in this scenic region. Half an hour away is the town of Merano, a popular spa town with soothing thermal baths, where you’ll find the gorgeous Merano High Mountain Trail and the Texel Group Nature Park - home to lush forests, stunning lakes and a rugged mountainscape. This corner of the Dolomites is unspoilt and less frequently explored than the area’s big hitters, like Tre Cime di Lavaredo or Sassolungo, but the trails and views are no less spectacular. It’s beautiful any time of the year: from the blazing blue skies of summer, to the quiet days of autumn when the leaves fall, and the white-blanketed beauty of winter and spring, when the area becomes a skier’s paradise.
