SLS Brickell

Miami, Florida

Property details

A buzzed-about luxury hotel boasting Philippe Starck interiors and a José Andrés restaurant - includes breakfast, plus family and suite options
With its booming hospitality industry, Miami is a city where brand-new hotels are, well, nothing new. So, you know that when even Wikipedia are covering a soon-to-open hotspot, it’s something special. SLS Brickell Hotel & Residences would be a pretty sweet escape no matter what; all the buzz is just the icing on the cake.

A sister to SLS South Beach, this Lifestyle Preferred Hotels & Resorts pick will boast all that's made the first such a standout, from cutting-edge Philippe Starck design to tapas by José Andrés, plus an Italian eatery under James Beard-awardee Michael Schwartz. There’s also a gorgeous pool deck that, if SoBe’s SLS (where you get beach access) was any indication, is slated to become Miami’s next party capital.

Its location is pretty buzz-worthy too. Brickell is home to a slew of nightlife and retail destinations, including the local outpost of hit Mexican eatery Rosa Mexicano. Having recently drawn the likes of David Beckham, Owen Wilson and Pamela Anderson to its lounges and restaurants, it seems that the city’s longtime Financial District is giving South Beach a serious run for its money.

Dining

Like SLS South Beach, SLS Brickell offers a world-class dining scene, in collaboration with James Beard award-winners José Andrés and Michael Schwartz. The first has riffed on his popular Bazaar concept, serving ceviche, tiraditos, raw-bar bites and other "sea snacks" at Bazaar Mar, while the second invites you to feast on hearty Italian salads and pizzas – with parmesan from a roaming cart – at Fi’lia. Both serve high-end wines, along with cocktails.

Spa

SLS Brickell’s Ciel Spa takes after its counterparts at the Las Vegas, Beverly Hills and South Beach SLS locations, featuring experience showers, a relaxation lounge and herbal steam rooms to help you relax. Treatments are performed on custom massage beds and include gold rejuvenating facials and marine-flora wraps.

Location

It’s no longer a secret that Brickell is the new South Beach. As an SLS guest, you’ll be blocks from many of the venues that have made this neighbourhood so happening in recent years. Among them are the AmericanAirlines Arena, which has hosted everyone from JLo to Katy Perry to the teams of NBA Finals.

A walk away lies Mary Brickell Village, a shopping hub that houses jewellers, fashion boutiques, a gelateria and a Rosa Mexicano outpost. Best of all, you’re just around the corner from Blume, the "first true nightclub experience" in Brickell.
