Villas

At approximately 150 square metres, the Beach villas offer ample space in its combined bedroom and living area. A semi-outdoor bathroom with double vanities opens up to a courtyard with an outdoor shower and an outdoor bath where you can enjoy an indulgent bathing ritual. Roughly twice as large, the Deluxe Beach villas offer a more luxurious experience with the addition of a private garden and plunge-pool. Both villas offer direct access to the resort’s pristine, powder-sand beaches.

For the quintessential Maldives experience, spring for the absolutely scenic Water villas. Perched on stilts above turquoise waters, the villas feature a private sun terrace with a plunge pool, and ocean-facing tub and stairs leading directly to the cool waters below. Dining

“Smart casual” and “bare feet encouraged” aren’t suggestions you normally see paired together but on Rangali Island, beachfront casual is always in vogue. But don’t let the casual vibes fool you, the resort has been named the Indian Ocean’s leading Culinary Resort by the World Travel Awards in 2015. Its twelve bars and restaurants offer distinct experiences ranging from casual beachfront grills and scenic restaurants with “spa cuisine”.

The resort’s most unique offering is undoubtedly Ithaa Undersea Restaurant. Set 16 feet below sea level, the fine dining restaurant’s space features panoramic glass walls that put you face-to-face with your aquatic neighbours while you dine on contemporary European cuisine.

Spa

Parked 50 metres off the northern tip of Rangali Island, the Spa Retreat was designed to be a resort-within-a-resort and features accommodation as well as a restaurant specialising in healthy cuisine. This destination spa features holistic treatments gleaned from across the world and includes a hair and nail salon and a boutique. Some of its nine couples treatment rooms include private steam, sauna and jet baths.

The resort’s second spa is suspended over the shallow waters and features a wealth of massages, wellness treatments and more. It’s three glass-floored treatment rooms offer a glimpse of the coral reefs below.

Location

The resort is spread across two sister islands, Rangalifinolhu and Rangali, and connected by a single narrow bridge that spans the lagoon between. The region offers spectacular diving and snorkelling opportunities where you can witness manta rays and breathtaking gentle giants like the whale shark. Excursions to nearby fishing villages and cruises on the resort’s luxury Turkish yacht can also be arranged. The nearest airport is Velana International.
