The tightly twisting lanes of Marrakech’s medina are legendary for their ability to get you lost: we’d recommend taking a taxi the first time you make your way to the hotel. Marrakech Menara Airport is about seven kilometres from the hotel and taxis are readily available.

Tucked down a backstreet, the riad is hidden behind high walls that block out the cacophony of sound that emanates from the daily bustle of the medina – it’s surprisingly peaceful. Within a short walk you’ll find a variety of souks and spice markets, glittering bazaars and the heaving expanse of Djemma el-Fnaa square, where most of Marrakech gathers in the evening to sip a cup of sweet mint tea and watch the world go by.
