Washington, D.C. is home to more power than an electrical grid, and when you stroll around this capital city, it’s hard not to feel the energy coursing through. Around the National Mall alone, you’ve got the president at the White House, the justices at the Supreme Court Building, the reps at the Capitol and all the monuments to American influencers past.

But there's much more to America's capital than high-ranking government and corridors of power. This historic city teems with museums and iconic buildings, a thriving arts scene, and incredible and varied eateries.

At the heart of the famous Capitol Hill district and near to the city's main sights, the elegant Washington Court Hotel proudly sits.

Accommodations here are among the largest in Capitol Hill. Each shows off black-and-white photographs of the cherry blossoms, as well as sparkling, oversized Italian-marble bathrooms – a homage to the National Mall’s architecture. KEYPR tablets allow you to request guest services, like housekeeping visits and wake-up calls, with ease, as well as to check the weather. Deluxe rooms - both Double and King - offer a whopping 43 square metres of space, with either one king-size bed or two doubles and an elegant Italian marble bathroom.

Dinner is served in Federal City Lounge. The hotel staff is happy to recommend other eateries, as well as speakeasies, around the neighbourhood, while in-room dining (6.30am-2pm) is available.

The hotel boasts a well-equipped fitness centre for a cardio workout or two.

You’ll be steps from the National Mall and the Newseum and within walking distance of countless other iconic D.C. attractions, like the US Capitol, the Kennedy Center, the Lincoln Memorial, the Corcoran Gallery of Art and the National Geographic Museum.
