Your journey begins in the nation’s stately capital of Washington after which, your adventure continues to the iconic city of New York. And here's the best bit - you'll travel by Amtrak between the two so you'll get a true taste of the American rail road as you watch the landscapes roll by.<br><br>You'll fly in to Washington DC where your first three nights will be spent at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. This 1930s hotel is now a landmark in the city and is picturesquely set in 11 acres of manicured gardens. From the hotel, you're a stone's throw from the National Zoo and with the help of a Big Bus Tour (included in our offer), you'll be able to visit national treasures such as the White House, the National Monument and the Lincoln Memorial with ease. <br><br>Next, you'll experience dazzling sky scrapers and fashionable streets of New York for a three-night stay at The Belvedere Hotel. Arguably America's 'other capital', the centre of all things cool and cultural, New York is impossibly glamorous and exciting. Its skyline defies belief, with a jigsaw of skyscrapers and Art Deco spires that gleam by day and glitter by night. At the Belvedere Hotel, you're thrust right into the heart of Manhattan, within easy reach of the Rockerfeller Centre, where you'll take in the awe-inspiring views from the very top of the building.<br><br><b>Good to know</b><br><br>Your return flight is overnight, so while this is a six-night holiday, you will be away for a total of seven nights. Please note that you’ll need to apply for an Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) online at least 72 hours before travel. If you don’t have an ESTA you’ll be refused travel to the USA.
