With an array of awe-inspiring natural wonders, linked by good roads and scattered with top-notch hotels and lodges, touring Namibia is a true delight. This insightful, 10-night African adventure will whisk you from city to untamed wilderness, packing in some phenomenal scenery along the way. It all kicks off in Windhoek, with a night to explore Namibia’s capital and its interesting mix of historical architecture, colonial legacy and contemporary buildings.

Next, you'll move on to Sossusvlei, with two nights at Elegant Desert Lodge – the perfect base to explore the Namib’s iconic red sand dunes, as well as the Sesriem Canyon. Then it’s onto Swakopmund, a quaint seaside resort oozing old-world charm and sporting a colourful blend of German and Namibian influences in the shape of colonial-era buildings, great beaches and cool sea breezes. Then, you’ll head North via Namibia’s highest mountain Brandberg, into ruggedly beautiful Damaraland. This harsh, rocky environment is home to the rare desert elephant, the black rhino and various wandering antelope species.

Then, it’s onwards to Etosha National Park for an overnight stay at Gondwana Etosha Safari Camp, followed by two nights at Mokuti Etosha Lodge. Home to 114 different mammal species and 340 species of birds, at the park’s numerous waterholes you’ll have a good chance of spotting both the black and white rhino (who have healthy populations in the area) as well as elephants, lions, zebras and giraffes, on daily game drives. You’ll return to Windhoek for a final night's stay at Windhoek Country club, with the chance to pick up a souvenir at the craft markets or wander through the city’s pleasant streets, before flying home the next day.

Day 1: Travel to Namibia.
Day 2: Arrive in Windhoek, where you’ll stay overnight at Windhoek Country Club Resort.
Day 3: Head to Sossusvlei, where you’ll witness the iconic red sand dunes of the Namib. Bed down at Elegant Desert Lodge.
Day 4: Visit the Deadvlei, surrounded by the highest dunes and Sossusvlei, plus the Sesriem Canyon. Spend another night at Elegant Desert Lodge.
Day 5: Travel to Swakopmund, with a visit en route to the lagoon at Walvis Bay, where you’ll get to see flamingos grazing. Check in at Swakopmund Plaza Hotel in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 6: At leisure in Swakopmund, with optional excursions to sightsee by plane or nurture your inner adrenaline junkie with skydiving, quad biking or sand boarding on the sand dunes.
Day 7: Travel to Damaraland, visiting a Living Museum of the Damara, the Petrified Forest and the Welwitschia mirabilis plant (the oldest living desert plant on earth!) before spending the night at Gondwana Damara Mopane Lodge.
Day 8: Travel to Etosha National Park and check-in to Gondwana Etosha Safari Camp. Take a safari into the park, exploring various watering holes and their incredible wildlife.
Day 9: Today is devoted to observing the abundant wildlife found in Etosha National Park, home to four of the ‘Big Five’ – elephants, lions, leopards and rhinos. Overnight at Mokuti Etosha Lodge.
Day 10: Spend the morning exploring Etosha National Park with a game drive. Spend the afternoon and evening at leisure. Travel back to Windhoek, visiting the craft markets on the main streets before checking-in to Windhoek Country Club for the night.
Day 11: Transfer to the airport to catch your flight home.
Day 12: Arrive back in the UK.

Gondwana Etosha Safari Camp, Etosha (one night)
