The ultimate guided Namibia tour, from charming coastal cities to exhilarating wildlife safaris, with breakfast, excursions, game drives and all travel included
With an array of awe-inspiring natural wonders, linked by good roads and scattered with top-notch hotels and lodges, touring Namibia is a true delight. This insightful, 10-night African adventure will whisk you from city to untamed wilderness, packing in some phenomenal scenery along the way. It all kicks off in Windhoek, with a night to explore Namibia’s capital and its interesting mix of historical architecture, colonial legacy and contemporary buildings.
Next, you'll move on to Sossusvlei, with two nights at Elegant Desert Lodge – the perfect base to explore the Namib’s iconic red sand dunes, as well as the Sesriem Canyon. Then it’s onto Swakopmund, a quaint seaside resort oozing old-world charm and sporting a colourful blend of German and Namibian influences in the shape of colonial-era buildings, great beaches and cool sea breezes. Then, you’ll head North via Namibia’s highest mountain Brandberg, into ruggedly beautiful Damaraland. This harsh, rocky environment is home to the rare desert elephant, the black rhino and various wandering antelope species.
Then, it’s onwards to Etosha National Park for an overnight stay at Gondwana Etosha Safari Camp, followed by two nights at Mokuti Etosha Lodge. Home to 114 different mammal species and 340 species of birds, at the park’s numerous waterholes you’ll have a good chance of spotting both the black and white rhino (who have healthy populations in the area) as well as elephants, lions, zebras and giraffes, on daily game drives. You’ll return to Windhoek for a final night's stay at Windhoek Country club, with the chance to pick up a souvenir at the craft markets or wander through the city’s pleasant streets, before flying home the next day.
