A cosy boutique Yorkshire coaching inn with an award-winning restaurant – includes breakfast, dinner allowance, bottle of prosecco, tickets to Castle Howard and more

Think Yorkshire and you think oodles of fresh air, tramping about on the Moors, returning to a warm welcome and treating yourself to a cream tea. At the White Swan Inn, you can enjoy all of this and more. This old stone coaching inn has sat proudly in the historic market town of Pickering for over 500 years and today is an inviting blend of luxury and tradition. The cosy bar has real Yorkshire ales on tap, there’s a lounge with huge fireplace and picture window for people-watching, while the restaurant pays homage to the best in local meats and fish.

You’ll find cosy nooks and plump sofas in the charming Bothy – a converted beamed barn just for hotel guests. It gets even better in your room too, where you can kick back after a long soak in your extra-deep bath. The White Swan Inn’s mantra is ‘just like home, only better’, and TripAdvisor guests agree, awarding it a Certificate of Excellence.

Good to know

Please be aware that The Bothy may be closed to residents in the event of a private function.

Also, please note that dogs are only permitted in Hideaway rooms. Dogs can stay for £12.50 per night and will even receive their own treats, courtesy of The White Swan Inn.
