The ultimate guided Namibia tour, from charming coastal cities to exhilarating wildlife safaris, with breakfast, excursions, game drives and all travel included

Day 1: Windhoek

You’ll touch down into Namibia’s capital today and will check-in to the relaxed Hotel Safari. Spend the rest of the day at leisure; opt to explore the city centre or wind down with a beer or two in the bar. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 2: Windhoek – Sossusvlei

Departing the capital, journey to your lodge deep in the sandy swathes of the Namib Desert. This is the gateway to Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei, where some of the highest dunes on Earth stand towering over the desert plains below. The afternoon can be spent relaxing at the pool or taking part in optional activities offered at the lodge. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 3: Sossusvlei

After an early morning wake-up call, you'll head into the Namib Naukluft National Park, where you'll be mesmerised by the surreal Deadvlei, surrounded by some of the highest dunes on earth and Sossusvlei, where the Tsauchab River ends abruptly amongst dunes. Take the opportunity to walk up one of these majestic dunes to admire the desert landscape beneath. After that, visit the Sesriem Canyon, a life-sustaining natural phenomenon in the heart of the Namib Desert. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 4: Sossusvlei – Swakopmund

Head to the coast today, visiting the famous lagoon of Walvis Bay along the way, where over 80% of Africa’s lesser flamingos breed. Continue to Swakopmund, admiring the scenery along the way, and check-in to the Swakopmund Plaza Hotel upon arrival. The rest of the day is yours to do as you choose; don’t miss out on a chance to enjoy a sundowner or two. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 5: Swakopmund

Often referred to as the ‘playground of Namibia’, Swakopmund is a real treasure trove for travellers. Enjoy a free day here and opt to go skydiving, dune buggying, sandboarding or, for something less adrenaline-fuelled, visit the town’s historic buildings, museums and quaint cafés. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 6: Swakopmund – Damaraland

Travel past Namibia’s highest mountain, Brandberg, today on your way into Damaraland, one of the sparsest and most geologically-diverse areas of southern Africa. Accompanied by a guide, pay a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Twyfelfontein, where Bushman tribes engraved and painted over 2,500 pictures over 6,000 years ago. Continue to the Petrified Forest, where trees are estimated to be around 260 million years old. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 7: Damaraland – Etosha National Park

After breakfast, travel to the famous Etosha National Park and get settled into your camp. Then, head out on your first game drive and see if you can spot some of the resident species of wildlife, including lion, leopard, cheetah, spotted hyena and rare black rhino. (Meals: breakfast)

Days 8 – 9: Etosha National Park

The next two days are dedicated to pure wildlife-watching. Channel your inner David Attenborough and see if you can spot some of the park’s more elusive animals, including the world’s heaviest flying bird, the kori bustard, and the endangered black rhino. Game viewing in the park is primarily focussed around the waterholes, some of which are spring fed, and some supplied from a borehole, ideal places to sit and watch over 114 different game species, or for an avid birder, more than 340 bird species. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 10: Windhoek

Travel back to Namibia's capital today, stopping for some last-minute souvenirs at the market in Okahandja along the way (time-permitting). Overnight in Windhoek. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 11: Windhoek – UK

Hop on board your flight back to the UK. (Meals: breakfast)
