A one-of-a-kind tour of magnificent Sri Lanka, taking in UNESCO sites, national parks with elephants and an all-inclusive beach stay, with all travel and excursions

Positioned just off the southern coast of India, the tear drop-shaped island of Sri Lanka is a paradise of emerald-green rainforest and sugary sands. This kaleidoscopic destination boasts some of the wildest, most exotic scenery in the Indian Ocean. Spend seven nights hopping between its best bits, taking in stunning scenery and a generous handful of UNESCO World Heritage Sites along the way.

Kick things off with a night in Sri Lanka's commercial capital of Colombo, where you’ll embark on a city tour, exploring the vibrant local bazaar, bustling Gangarama Temple complex, Old and New Parliament and more. Next, it’s onto Sigiriya, where you’ll ascend the impressive Sigiriya Rock Fortress, or ‘Lion Rock’ as it’s commonly known, and enjoy more historic delights, with a tour of Sri Lanka’s medieval capital, Polonnaruwa.

It’s on to Kandy next, taking in the Dambulla Cave Temples en route, before a tour of the city, which encompasses a visit to the renowned Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic – an important shrine for Buddhists, as it houses the tooth relic of Lord Buddha. From Kandy, you’ll also take a day trip to Nuwara Eliya to visit a tea factory and tea plantation, before arriving in Udawalawe.

The following day, head to Udawalawe National Park’s Elephant Transit Home, where you’ll get to experience these stunning rescued creatures at feeding time. You will also take an exciting safari through the Udawalawe National Park to see more elephants in their natural habitat. Finally, you'll head to Beruwala for a well-earned all-inclusive stay on the serene golden coastline of this captivating country, with the modern comforts of The Palms Beruwala as your hideaway.
