A splendid Palladian mansion with grand period interiors, 36 acres of parkland and acclaimed dining, just 12 miles from Bath – includes breakfast and optional dinner

A Grade I-listed building dating back to the 18th century, Ston Easton Park sits quietly on a 36-acre estate in the Mendip Hills, within sleepy Somerset. It is surrounded by classical landscaped gardens, created by 18th-century landscape designer Humphrey Repton and featuring sweeping lawns, romantic Palladian bridges and a scattering of ancient wells.

This is a place designed around indulgence, with spacious, elegant bedrooms, in-room spa treatments and a restaurant that makes foodies swoon. With two AA Rosettes to its name, plus a Food & Drink recommendation, Sorrel Restaurant uses fresh ingredients straight from the Victorian kitchen garden, fine vintage wines and a flair for presentation. You'll even find an original Saloon and one of the last original Print Rooms in the country, all on site.

Just half an hour from both Bristol and Bath, you're well placed for a day in the city, or you can use this as the ultimate country pad and go for long rambling walks or play golf at the adjacent course. Ston Easton Park earned itself a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
